Orthodontics

Create A Smile to Last a Lifetime

OrthodonticsOrthodontics is a special type of dentistry geared toward treating misaligned or improper bites. In many cases, braces can resolve these issues, especially in children and young adults.

Often children will be referred for orthodontic treatment as early as age 7 to evaluate any problems. As children lose their baby teeth, problems with misalignment usually begin to occur. That’s why early treatment is so important in preventing future dental problems.

At Colorado Dental Group, our team of dentists and orthodontists can work together with your dentist if you or your child needs treatment.

Orthodontic Services

Two of the most common orthodontic treatments are:

Braces: This is the most common treatment option for children, and braces are commonly implemented between the ages of 9 and 14. Most children have braces for at least a year, but total treatment time varies.

Invisalign: Invisalign is a popular appliance for adults who want straighter teeth. Invisalign aligners are removable, which makes it a more flexible treatment method. This treatment is not recommended for children because it requires self-discipline, as aligners must be worn 20-22 hours out of every day. Learn more about Invisalign.
